Girish Lakshman is the former Vice President of Worldwide Transportation Strategy and Technology at Amazon. Leaving Amazon in late 2014 to pursue other ventures, he took on a director role at GrubHub, a young and growing online mobile food order company connecting diners with local take-out restaurants, working with 30.000 restaurants in 800 different cities in the US and London. He still serves on the advisory board of the Master of Supply Chain Transportation and Logistics program at the University of Washington.

Girish Lakshman has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Osmania University, India, and studied a variety of topics at the Graduate School of the University of Missouri Rolla. At Amazon he was managing multi-disciplinary function in transportation, including interfacing with global supply chain and fulfilment centres. Prior to Amazon.com, Girish managed the enterprise resource-planning group for the wire products division at Leggett and Platt.
