His football career lasted from the early 70's to the early 80's mainly playing for Bayern Munich and Real Madrid. Overall he played 285 Bundesliga games and scored 93 goals. Paul was considered a rebel and his reputation as a controversial thinker remains with him to this day. He is a founding member of the Children's Sports Foundation and an advisor to the Board of Bayern Munich.
