Dr. Jeffrey Liker
Authority in Reaching Excellence and Managing Change
Dr. Jeffrey K. Liker is Professor of Industrial and Operations Engineering at the University of Michigan. He is also President of Liker Lean Advisors, a network of associates to teach and consult in The Toyota Way, and Senior Advisor and Partner of the Lean Leadership Institute. As a Professor of Industrial and Operations Engineering, Jeffrey has been teaching about organisational theory and managing change. He was part of a large study comparing the U.S. and Japan auto industries that led to his relationship with Toyota and research on operational excellence and lean transformation.

He is author of the international bestseller 'The Toyota Way' and his articles and books have won 13 Shingo Prizes for Research Excellence. 'The Toyota Way' was named the 2007 Sloan Industry Studies Book of the Year. A frequent keynote speaker and consultant, Jeffrey's recent clients include Caterpillar, Siemens, Dover Industries, and Alcatel-Lucent amongst many others. He has a BS in Industrial Engineering from Northeastern University and a PhD in Sociology from the University of Massachusetts.
